Centre Departments


  • Administration

    Finance controls the financial management of the Centre and includes the accounts, payroll and purchasing teams.
    Human Resources support the Centre’s 800-strong team of full-time and part-time, casual and temporary employees. The department ensures the effective recruitment and training of all staff.
    Information Technology overseas more than 180 IT users operating a fully networked system in a Windows NT environment.

     

    Audio Visual and Creative Production Services

    Centre Technical Production and Design includes the lighting, audio, projection, staging, video production and sets and theming teams. Casual work is available during times of heavy business. The department also offers a number of trainee opportunities, find out more here.
    Centre Video Production encompasses television production, broadcast and recording facilities for use by our clients and also available for hire by external parties.

     

    Building Services

    Responsible for maintenance works throughout the Centre and some elements of event preparation.

     

    Event Management

    Includes both Event Managers and Event Service Managers (ESM) who liaise with our clients in the preparation stages and throughout events. The team also includes our concierge, exhibitor service desk and other front of house services, such as ticketing booths.

     

    Kitchen

    Our Executive Chef, Uwe Habermehl, leads a team of accomplished chefs, who cater for events ranging from 50 to 5,000 guests. Roles within the department range from senior, experienced chefs to apprentice level chefs, as well as casual kitchen hands.

     

    Catering

    Provides services at banqueting events as well as public catering events including exhibitions, conventions etc.

     

    Marketing and Sales

    Marketing covers two key divisions including strategic marketing and marketing communications.
    The Sales team is made up of three, smaller teams including International Sales, National Sales, and Exhibition Sales. The teams assist clients in their venue selection process, while the strategic marketing and marketing communications team is responsible for all advertising, public relations, collateral production, online marketing, pricing and market research activities.  

     

    Security

    The Centre’s security team consists of accredited security officers, with qualifications in administering first aid.

     

    Waste and Environmental Services

    The WES team ensures the Centre is thoroughly cleaned and presentable at all times. WES staff are also involved in the Centre’s environmental management program and work closely with the relevant authorities to ensure efficient management of waste and recycling programs.
